Nissan’s slip-hazard warning system
There are numerous Nissan parts that promote safety, such as seat belts and air bags. Moreover, behind a safe operation of vehicles are well-functioning auto parts. Despite these life-saving Nissan parts, external factors like adverse weather conditions could affect motorists in maneuvering the four-wheel machine. To answer to such possible unfortunate events, the Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. Ltd will be testing its “slip-hazard warning system” in Hokkaido starting this November.
Periods of rain and snow can make roads slippery and can lead to accidents, thus Nissan developed slip-hazard warning system that integrates the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) and Anti-lock braking system (ABS). A vehicle that is equipped with such high-end technology has audio alerts that warn the driver as the four-wheel machine inches closer to a possible slippery road.

Hundred Nissan vehicles, which are geared with the CARWINGS system, are expected to take part in the test, which will officially start on November until March of next year. Before testing proper, however, Nissan, along with the Hokkaido Prefectural Police, will have to sift through the vehicles and will just get the participants needed.
At the end of the test, Nissan wants to know if such system, which will be supplemented by the upgraded CARWINGS system, would really work for real-life threatening events especially during the colder seasons.
