Nissan goes green at the 2007 Eco-Products
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007Nissan Motor Company, along with other automobile companies, is dead serious in its crusade to produce more environment-friendly automotive products. Some of these innovative Nissan Parts are set to be displayed at the Eco-Products 2007 at the Tokyo Big Sight from December 13 to 15.
In this year’s Eco-Products, guests and visitors alike are given the rare chance to try out Nissan’s vehicles that are equipped with alternative power sources such as electricity, fuel-cell, and diesel. Pivo2, CARWINGS eco-drive service, Fuel-efficient technologies, and Clean-diesels are among the highlights in the company’s display of green techies.
These carefully crafted Nissan Parts are part of the company’s green technology approach dubbed as the Nissan Green Program 2010 (NGP2010). Such products are made with a primary objective of minimizing or eradicating altogether the noxious Carbon dioxide emissions of the company’s vehicles. In a span of more than four decades, Nissan hopes to achieve a 70 percent improvement in the CO2 emissions of its products. In order to achieve such technological feat, the Japanese automaker plans to improve on its Nissan Parts installed in its cars and sport utility vehicles.
Aside from the Nissan Parts under the hood, the company has made available CARWINGS, which was awarded with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport title in the Eco-Services Division of the Eco-Products Awards, for its patrons. This high-end auto part is aimed at not only improving the performance of the components of the vehicle but as well as improve the habits and abilities of the driver. This technology assists one to get away from congested streets as well as warn the driver of the possible threat of drinking and driving.
These products are just a part of the huge chunk Nissan is set to release in the market in the next few years.
