Nissan Strut

Nissan Strut

Way back in 1933, a Japanese automaker named Nissan Motor Company Limited sprang in the automotive industry which garnered a huge following because of its versatile, powerful, and functional vehicles that are highly affordable. This is probably the primary reason why this auto manufacturer still continues to be in existence after 74 years in the auto market. Nissan’s proven quality and high performance vehicles have made them one of the most reliable manufacturers of vehicles in the automotive market. High performance Nissan vehicles are made up of high performance parts, and one of these is the Nissan Strut.

Every vehicle is equipped with suspension systems. To be able to function efficiently, your suspension system is composed of a number of sub components, of which the Nissan Struts are included. Nissan Struts significantly enhance your car’s suspension by acting as a dampening device by resisting the pressure in the direction of its longitudinal compression or length. Several suspension parts are incorporated in Nissan Struts that make it responsible for doing multiple tasks. Included in this compact assembly are the shock absorber, spring seats, coil springs and steering knuckle.

Enhance the suspension system of your vehicle by investing in top of the line Nissan Struts. Your Nissan struts are assigned with multiple purposes. This is because, unlike with the shocks, they are one compact assembly which is integrated with multiple suspension parts which include coil spring, shock absorber, spring seats, steering knuckle, and strut bearing. The struts are also technically called as Macpherson struts, and are found on the front end of most front-wheel drive vehicles.

The shock absorber is the most commonly used part of the strut assembly where it dampens shocks as the spring compresses and rebounds during travel. The spring, on the other hand, is used to support the weight of your vehicle, and continuously adapt to various road irregularities. To allow for the entire assembly to pivot when the steering wheel is turned, the strut housing is used to serve as the structural part of the suspension system. The housing connects the upper strut to the lower ball joint.

With the multi-purpose task that your struts are assigned with, it should not be a surprise that they go damaged over time. This is the reason why you should inspect them at least once a year, in which this should usually in conjunction with your vehicle’s wheel alignment. Its internal shock absorber, being the most serviced part of the struts, typically go worn-out first. Handling and control are affected by the loss of the capability of the shocks to perform well.

On the other hand, the entire struts are also subject to defective conditions. You typically have worn struts when there is excessive bouncing, drifting while braking, bottoming out, swaying, rocking back and forth, and cupping wear on the tires of your car. One or more of these symptoms suggests it is high time to consider replacement Nissan struts. If you don’t want to compromise your vehicle’s performance as well as your safety, you should get those worn struts out of your car and install a new Nissan struts.
